Despite the high-profile negative feedback, RIM is claiming that their recently release BlackBerry Storm is Verizon’s best-selling device - despite that a survey says only 33% of Storm owners are “very satisfied” with it. And of course, that could mean many things.
Then again, the fact that RIM is trying to hire as many as 1200 new employees, mostly in their HQ (is the city of Waterloo big enough?) might suggest that they really are doing well. That there’ll be a huge demand for touchscreen phones is fairly obvious. RIM probably won’t even have to do a lot of advertising since Apple has already created the market
