atom-duo-vbig-front.jpgIf you maintain two mobile phones with two mobile phone accounts, you might want to consider using the WND Duo Atom instead. The Duo Atom can hold two sim cards and will let you shift from one mobile account to another with just a flip of the phone. That’s right, if other mobile phones make you change sim first in order to use another mobile line, the Duo Atom takes away that hassle.

So how does the Duo Atom’s dual sim card works then? If you load two sim cards on the Duo Atom’s sim card slot, the Duo Atom’s unique touchpad application reverses the screen and the keypad to change mobile accounts. So, you use one mobile line using the lower part of the phone’s front face and the upper part for using the other mobile account. Now that’s pretty neat indeed. The Duo Atom is equipped with a gravity sensor that makes this shifting to work in a seamless fashion.

Aside from letting you use two sim cards/mobile lines, the WND Duo Atom is a full featured mobile phone as well. It has a built in 3mp auto focus camera, plays mp3 audio files, and is WAP 2.0 compatible as well.

The WND Duo Atom also supports microSD external memory for added storage space. You can also enjoy playing and using Java applications as the phone is compatible with JAVA MIDP2.0/CLDC1.1 applications.

Other features of the WND Duo Atom include:

  • Tri-Band (GSM 900/1800/1900 MHz)
  • TFT LCD Display Screen (176 x 220 pixels)
  • Photo Phonebook
  • Photo Caller ID

Although, there is no official release date yet, it would be interesting to see how a dual sim card phone would fare in fairly conservative U.S. mobile market as compared to other countries.
